when i saw the weekly challenge for this week i immediately thought of this photo of my nephew. we had just recently moved to texas from san diego and really missed the beach. when my sister and the kids made the trek from utah to visit and we needed something for the kids to do in the melting hot weather, we took them to the "beach" {lake} with surf board in tow. the kids had a blast trying to balance on the board in the calm water and the rest of the population looked at us as though we had lost our minds. HA!
i absolutely love how proud he looks, shoulders back, standing like a man of the ocean, watchin' for "sweet waves."
